Более того, эти исследователи использовали экспериментальную процедуру так называемого ложного опознания. Они предлагали испытуемым описания определенного типа поведения (но не называли его конкретно). Через несколько минут просили определить его. Описание могло быть, например, таким: «Сегодня я купил автомобиль. Мне он не нужен, но уж очень понравился. Мне нравится так поступать – не люблю тратить слишком много времени на обдумывание решений». Если испытуемый ошибочно полагал, что в ответе должно фигурировать слово «спонтанный», значит он подсознательно ассоциировал спонтанность с таким типом поведения.
